Press Release: Clarification on Allegations of Injustice in the Narrative of Modiu Omotosho Against Hon. Aderohunmu

In response to recent allegations made by one Omotosho Omolade Modiu regarding an incident involving Ogun State Commissioner, Hon. Isiaka Aderohunmu, we would like to set the record straight and address the misinformation that has been circulating. The claims suggesting that Commissioner Isiaka Aderohunmu was involved in an act of battery are baseless and unfounded.

The report by Omotosho Omolade Modiu alleging that Commissioner Isiaka Aderohunmu was responsible for the alleged battery is inaccurate and misleading. The incident in question took place on the 3rd of March when a group of hoodlums who were loyal to Abogunrin Sunday's lost cause in Agosasa, engaged in an act of vandalism targeting properties belonging to individuals associated with Otunba Akeem Adigun (Socopao).

Among those affected was Chief Rafiu Aderohunmu, an 84-year-old man and father to the commissioner whose wife’s shop in Agosasa market was also vandalized. Rafiu Elele's wife shop, along with Wasiu Adeogun's shop containing millions worth of goods, were destroyed by hoodlums allegedly working for Abogunrin Sunday.

We want to make it clear that Omotosho Modiu’s allegations are nothing more than a smear campaign intended to tarnish the reputation of Commissioner Isiaka Aderohunmu. We urge him to either provide concrete evidence to support his claims or issue an unreserved apology for spreading false information. Failure to do so may result in legal action for defamation.

We stand by Commissioner Isiaka Aderohunmu and refute any attempts to malign his character with baseless accusations. We remain committed to upholding truth and integrity in all matters.
